This is the first episode of season 3. It starts off, for the first 1:45,  with a recap of the end of season 2. Then it introduces us to season 3 exactly where season 2 left off.

Michael is swimming off Key Biscayne headed for Miami Beach.  Why he does not swim to Key Biscayne which is much closer and would afford him a better chance of getting ashore unnoticed, I don’t know.

Michael makes it ashore but is too tired to pay attention and walks right into the police. He runs through Lummus Park and crosses Ocean / Deco Drive.  He runs between the Crescent Hotel (1420 Deco) and the Mc- Alpin Hotel (1424 Deco).

Michael runs out onto Ocean Court, turns north and enters the first door. This is the rear of the Mc Alpin Hotel.

Where he breaks into the utility room and calls Fiona. She convinces him to surrender to the police which he does by walking out the front door.

This leads us to the Police Department lock up. This was filmed at the Coconut Grove Convention Center Studio.  Here Michael is bailed out by an old friend, Harlan.

Then we go to Madeline’s house. Also filmed at the studio.

Then we go to Carlito’s (studio set) to meet the new client, Marta.

Next we go to Rufino’s club where we meet Rufino Cortez, the boss.  Location unknown. If you know where this was filmed please let me know at cglide@floridamovielocations.org

The shot of Harlan and Michael running from the club was shot at the studio. They are running from the south east corner of the studio.

Next we go to Michael’s (studio set) before heading to a meet between Barry and Sam. This meet was filmed on Deco Drive near where Michael came ashore. They have drinks in front of the Ocean Plaza Hotel (1430) which is next to the Mc Alpin.

Then we go to Madeline’s house (studio) before seeing Michael meet with Mr. Falcone. This was filmed at the old Miami Grand Prix just south of Highway 395. Here they set a meet for the Kendall train yard for 10:00 the next day. Thanks to DanJ for the use of his picture of the Falcone meeting location.

Next we go to the the Kendal rail yard. This was filmed at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum. If you are in the Miami area I highly recommend you visit this Museum. Not what one thinks of when you think Miami but an excellent place to visit if you have any interest in history or want to do something other than the normal Miami tourist scene. This is located at 12450 SW 152nd Street Miami, Fl. This is the former site of Naval Air Station Richmond. The second largest in the country and served an important role in WW2.

Miami Vice fans should know that this is where they filmed the hooker train scenes for episode 81 Vote Of Confidence.

Then we return to Michael’s place (studio set) briefly before returning to the rail yard.

There are several cars like this at the museum but only one with this color seats. I believe the tape on the floor, seen in the bottom center of my photograph is the mark indicating where Bruce was to stand and they never picked it up.  Rail car # 7678.

Then we go to Michael’s place where we see Harlan likes beer and yogurt together. We see Michael’s brand is an interesting Burn Notice brand.

Then we go to see Fiona help Harlan steal a garbage truck from the Miami Metro Solid Waste facility. Earlier in this episode the same location was the exterior of the nightclub that Michael and Harlan were running from. Same SE corner of the studio, exact same spot.

Then we go to Madeline’s where they prepare for the meet.

Next we see Michael on a street corner waiting to be picked up.  This was filmed at the corner of NW 1st Ave and NW 10th Street. He is on the NE corner of that intersection. When he gets picked up he makes reference to the Pilot. At the start of the pilot he was waiting to be picked up in Nigeria as he was here. He was picked up in a small sedan and he had made a comment that they also make S.U.V.s now. Well now he is referring back to that as he is in the United States now and being picked up in an American S.U.V.

They pull out headed east.

Then we see Sam positioned in an apartment building at the NE corner of the intersection of NW 9th Street and NW 1st Ave.

Then we see Fiona in the garbage truck. When we first see her from Sam’s view point she is parked on NW 9th Street only about ¼ of the way down the block from NW 1st Ave.  Then we see her again from ground level. The truck has moved to the far east end of the block.

We see the convoy headed north on NW 1st Ave.

The plan almost fails as he stops the convoy and tells Michael to get out. This was filmed in the same location that Miami Vice filmed the episode Little Prince.  Where Tubbs tracks down the warehouse and talks to the hotdog vendor.  NW 1st Ave south of NW 8th St.

Fiona goes into play at NW 9th St. and NW 1st Ave.

After capturing Rufino, Michael and Harlan take him to a warehouse on the river. This was filmed at the same facility we saw used in #9, Hard Bargain where they held the girl and # 23 Hot Spot where Sam captures the car thief. NW 11th St. Near NW 20th Ct.

When things go wrong Sam tries to get a hold of Michael. He is calling from Carlito’s (set).

Michael escapes and sends Harlan off to stand trial.

Then Madeline, Michael, Sam and Fiona all meet at Madeline’s (studio Set). Then Michael and Sam meet Marta on south Beach where Michael came ashore at the start of the episode. The episode ends here.
